About Gina

Gina DeCaprio Vercesi is a New York-based storyteller, adventurer, and nature girl with a passion for history and conservation. Chronicling journeys on land, water, and snow, her words and images have been published in National Geographic Traveler, SIERRA, AARP, AAA - Explorer, Delta Sky, Virtuoso - The Magazine, Hemispheres, the Boston Globe, and many others. 

Gina is a Contributing Writer for Travel + Leisure, where her work appears frequently. For her March 2021 story, A Primal Connection, she received a Lowell Thomas Award from the Society of American Travel Writers.

Gina lives in a friendly village on the Hudson River with her husband, three daughters, and a very good dog named Sadie.
